We did some Google Translate magic to help us understand this tattoo's genius design, and it only made us appreciate this cat tattoo at least eight times more.
Sześciokot, the word in the center, is translated to English as “hexagon” from Polish, but with a misspelling error. The actual way to spell “hexagon” in Polish is “sześciokąt”. So why's the mistake in the end of the word? Well, that's not a mistake at all, actually.
We took the word “kot” and translated it back from Polish to English, and… you have only one guess as to what this word means. Yup, you probably got it right. Polish for cat is “kot”.
And sześciokot? It's a hexagon of cats. So well done, Rafau Czaplicki, we truly appreciate this tattoo on so many different levels. At least eight of them, to be exact.

"My previous and current cats in 2024, altho there need to be 2 new additions technically now. It's based on the legend of the PussyWillow."
via Stephanie de Blaauw -
According to an old Polish legend, the PussyWillow originated when a mother cat cried on a riverbank for her kittens, who were drowning after falling in while chasing butterflies. Willows dipped their branches into the water, allowing the kittens to cling on and be saved, resulting in the fuzzy, kitten-like buds that appear every spring.
We can see how that old legend can be compared to today's cat rescues and adoptions. You make sure strays stop suffering in the streets, giving them a better life on the other side. And having this commemorated in a tattoo, of cats you probably saved yourself, is something truly special.
